Mahindra has launched the awaited Scorpio Classic, priced at Rs 11.99 lakh for the base S variant and Rs 15.49 lakh for the S11 top variant. Scorpio Classic will be available in two trims only. It comes with some upgrades on the exterior and in the interior as well, basically it’s the rebranded version and sits below the Scorpio N.
The Mahindra Scorpio Classic now comes with a new 2.2 litre turbo diesel engine produces 132hp of power and 300Nm of torque mated with 6-speed manual that delivers power to the rear wheel, Scorpio classic will not be offered with Automatic transmission and even there will be no 4×4 drivetrain. As compared to the previous one, the new engine is 55kg lighter with improved fuel efficiency.
There are some fresh changes to the grille with new twin peaks logo, new front bumper, new taillights and it will be offered with 17-inch alloy wheels. From the inside, it will be offered the 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is a android based and black and beige dual tone interiors. Previous one used to have black and grey colour scheme.
It will be offered with 7 seater and 9 seater configuration, 7 seater will have captain seats in the middle row. It also gets features like cruise control, new steering wheel with new twin peaks logo, parking sensors.
